“I don’t believe the luxury sector will see a surge, as the visitors will primarily be working individuals staying for a couple of days”, explained the analyst.
The Riviera Maya and Cancun, together, are preparing nearly 9,000 (nine thousand) hotel rooms in the coming years. Currently, they have an available supply of more than 100,000 (one hundred thousand) rooms, according to the report “Accommodation in Mexico: Performance Highlights.”
Mexico City and Monterrey are jointly preparing 3,685 (three thousand six hundred eighty-five) rooms. Acapulco has no plans in the medium term to add new inventory, only to rebuild and convert existing ones after Hurricane “Otis”.
