{"id":4281,"date":"2026-06-01T10:28:20","date_gmt":"2026-06-01T10:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/?p=4281"},"modified":"2026-06-01T18:00:06","modified_gmt":"2026-06-01T18:00:06","slug":"declaration-of-entry-into-force-of-the-national-code-of-civil-and-family-procedures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/en\/declaration-of-entry-into-force-of-the-national-code-of-civil-and-family-procedures\/","title":{"rendered":"Declaration of Entry into Force of the National Code of Civil and Family Procedures"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On May 29<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026, the Official Gazette of Mexico City published a decree by the Mexico City Congress establishing that, as of April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2027, all civil and family proceedings \u2014 including probate matters \u2014 will be governed by the National Code of Civil and Family Procedures (<em>C\u00f3digo Nacional de Procedimientos Civiles y Familiares<\/em>, \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CNPCyF<\/span>\u201d), with supplementary application in asset forfeiture cases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The decree amends the declaration of entry into force of the CNPCyF in Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>A. Civil Matters:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Section II:<\/strong> As of <strong>April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2027<\/strong>, voluntary jurisdiction proceedings, precautionary measures, oral civil enforcement actions, and their appeals will be governed by the CNPCyF (originally scheduled for June 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2026).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Section III:<\/strong> As of <strong>April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2027<\/strong>, ordinary oral civil disputes, enforcement proceedings, and other pending case types will also be handled under the CNPCyF (originally scheduled for November 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Section IV:<\/strong> As of <strong>April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2027<\/strong>, the CNPCyF will apply on a supplementary basis to <strong>asset forfeiture<\/strong> matters and related laws (originally scheduled for November 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 2026).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>B.
