{"id":1650,"date":"2024-05-23T16:27:24","date_gmt":"2024-05-23T16:27:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/?p=1650"},"modified":"2026-04-06T18:57:40","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T18:57:40","slug":"draft-bill-to-amend-the-general-provisions-applicable-to-credit-institutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/en\/draft-bill-to-amend-the-general-provisions-applicable-to-credit-institutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Draft Bill to Amend the General Provisions Applicable to Credit Institutions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of this note is to inform you about the draft bill that aims to amend the Single Banking Circular regarding technological commission agents (the \u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CUB<\/span>\u201d) submitted by the National Banking and Securities Commission (\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CNBV<\/span>\u201d) to the National Commission for Regulatory Improvement (\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">CONAMER<\/span>\u201d) on April 30th, 2024.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Publication and Current Content<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CUB aims to include the concept of the technology-based commission agent, who will be able to act on behalf of credit institutions through digital platforms to perform transactions such as account opening, granting of loans, payment for goods and services, and balance inquiries. Commission agents must comply with information security requirements and operational processes, and their access to customer data will be revoked after the transaction.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Strategic Business Plan<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Credit institutions must <strong>submit a strategic business plan (PEN, for its Spanish acronym) to the CNBV<\/strong> before hiring commission agents, which must comply with the requirements proposed in the CUB.
