{"id":1546,"date":"2023-12-01T16:42:29","date_gmt":"2023-12-01T16:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/?p=1546"},"modified":"2026-04-06T18:00:51","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T18:00:51","slug":"increase-on-minimum-wages-for-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ibarrapg.com\/en\/increase-on-minimum-wages-for-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Increase on Minimum Wages for 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On December 1st, 2023, the National Minimum Wage Committee approved an increase on the minimum wages for next year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minimum Wage Commission determined that the increase on the minimum wage will be of 20%, comprising two concepts: <strong>(i)<\/strong> 6% as real salary increase; and <strong>(ii)<\/strong> 14% labeled as an Independent Increase Amount (\u201c<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">MIR<\/span>\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Therefore, the daily general minimum wage for 2024 will increase from $207.44 Mexican Pesos (approx. US$12.05) to $248.93 Mexican Pesos (approx. US$14.46).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the northern border area, the daily general minimum wage will also increase in the same percentage, from $312.41 Mexican pesos (approx. US$18.15) to $374.89 Mexican pesos (approx.
