Ricardo Rey has extensive experience in corporate law, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions, personal data protection, real estate, and foreign investments. He has advised domestic and international clients from various industries, providing legal counsel for establishing businesses in Mexico as well as for their domestic and cross-border transactional needs.
Ricardo has participated in complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and joint ventures in sectors such as the automotive, manufacturing, textile, and real estate industries. He also offers comprehensive advice in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contractual legal documents.
Trajectory
Before joining the Firm, Ricardo worked as a Corporate and Commercial Lawyer at Stellantis, where he was involved in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), corporate restructurings, real estate transactions, and personal data protection. This experience has provided him with extensive knowledge of the internal and external requirements of companies, including compliance with corporate policies.
Furthermore, Ricardo served as an Associate at a law firm, focusing his practice on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), real estate, and personal data protection and privacy. He began his career at a specialized firm in tax consultancy and litigation.
Credentials
Ricardo obtained his Law Degree from Universidad Anáhuac México, North Campus, where he received the Award for Excellence Performance (EGEL). His thesis was titled “Analysis of the Treatment of Personal Data in the Manufacturing Industry; Interrelation with Third-Party Marketers; Transfers, Transmissions, and Involved International Regulations.”
